Back to Top Web Mail Web Mail is a web-based email solution designed to offer users email client functionality using their favorite web browser. All email files and folders reside on the mail server so that users have access to everything as if they were in the office. Web Mail automatically detects when a user is accessing their account with a PDA, and switches to a template specifically formatted for these devices. Web Mail can easily hold its own against traditional mail clients while providing the added bonus of enabling users to access their email from anywhere at anytime. Back to Top POP3 POP3 accounts are mailboxes on Computerized Business Solutions' mail servers that store email received for your account in your "Inbox". When you retrieve your email from an email client such as Outlook or Outlook Express, your mail is copied to your computer and removed from the mail server. Once the mail is removed from the mail server, it is no longer accessible through Web Mail. You can create multiple folders, however these folders can only be accessed via Web Mail. They will be invisible to all other standard email clients. Back to Top IMAP IMAP is an advanced protocol for sending and receiving email. With IMAP, your mail is stored on Computerized Business Solutions mail server. Since the mail is stored on our mail server, it is always accessible from Web Mail, as well as any email client such as Outlook, Outlook Express, etc. You can create multiple folders and easily set up filters so that your incoming mail can be sorted into the folders you designate. Back to Top DNS Black Lists DNS Black Lists are used to prevent most "spam" from reaching your mailbox. This security feature checks three separate services that maintain lists of servers known to relay "spam" each time some tries to send you an email. If the connecting IP address has been blacklisted by any of these services, the message(s) will be refused. Back to Top Auto Responder Create a message that automatically replies to any email sent to your email address. Back to Top Email Aliases Setup your account to accept email for multiple email addresses. For example if you have an email address called services@yourdomain.com, you can configure it to receive mail for the email address joe@otherdomain.com. You can have as many of these as you wish. Back to Top Mailing Lists Mailing Lists, sometimes called Email Groups or Distribution Lists, allow groups of users to be addressed as if they all shared a common mailbox. Copies of email messages sent to the list are distributed to each of the list's members. Lists may contain members with local and/or remote destination addresses, be public or private, moderated or open and more. Back to Top Calendar & Scheduling System From within Web Mail you can easily create appointments, schedule meetings, and work with address books. Recurring appointments are fully supported, and appointments have many fields available to describe them. Further, contacts, calendars, and task data are stored as IMAP folders within each user's root mail directory. Through Web Mail, you can access these personal folders and control which other users have access to them. All Web Mail themes (especially Lookout) have templates that present contact, calendar, and task folders in a logical and attractive way. Mailing Lists can be fully managed by an appointed "Domain Administrator". Back to Top Address Book Web Mail has a built in "Address Book" that stores each the contact's full name, email address, company information, and more! Since it is built in to Web Mail, you have access to your contact list from any computer connected to the Internet. Back to Top Manage Folders You can easily add and manage folders through your Web Mail account. Any new folders that are added through your Web Mail account will be accessible through any IMAP email client. Back to Top Filters Set rules to distribute your incoming messages to specific folders, and/or prevent unwanted mail. ComAgent runs in the background and checks your account for new mail by querying the Web Mail server directly. This eliminates the need to open a browser or keep one open to check your email-ComAgent checks for new mail and notifies you with a sound or visual alert when new mail arrives. ComAgent also displays a list of your mail folders and the number and type of messages that each one contains (new, unread, and read).
